Code of conduct will be enforced at all times to insure a positive, successful and safe event.
Referees:
A referee should always respect fair play. He/She should see that all competitors display their techniques to the best of their ability. It is not enough for a referee to mechanically conduct a match. He/She must exert his best efforts in each match to conduct the match smoothly and professionally so that the result can be satisfactory to all parties. A referee must always do his/her best to make a just decision and accept the full responsibility for
that decision. A referee should regard all students as the same, never favoring one competitor over another.
Coaches / Instructors:
1. NO COACHES OR INSTRUCTORS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE COMPETITION FLOOR, HOLDING AREAS, PODIUM or PRIZE / MEDAL AWARDS AREA.
• If coaches and/or instructors come on to any of these grounds, the tournament and all matches will be stopped and will not resume until they are off prohibited area.
• Any persons who refuse to leave restricted areas will be asked to leave venue in a timely manner. If violator refuses to remove themselves, they will be escorted by security personnel and the academy/academies of the coach and/or instructor could face
disqualification.
2. Under no circumstances may ANYONE approach the medal’s table.
3. There will be a ZERO TOLERANCE for profanity, gestures, cursing, poor sportsmanship, and/or any other disrespectful, hostile and inappropriate acts or jumping/leaning over barricades.
• If any acts in the previous statement (2) are committed, you will be asked to leave the premises with the guidance of security personnel.
• If violator refuses to remove themselves in a timely manner, they will be escorted by security personnel and the academy/academies of the coach and/or instructor could face disqualification.
4. Coaches and/or Instructors are to cooperate with all tournament personnel, security personnel, and Riverside Convention Center personnel.
5. Absolutely no manipulating or moving the barricades in any way.
6. Failure to uphold any and/or all previously stated rules and failure to cooperate will result in any and/or all of the following: ejection from the venue, and academy/academies of the coach and/or instructor may face disqualification.
Competitors:
1. The only competitors allowed on the competition floor are those called to the holding area, those in the rings competing, and those who have just finished competing. Those who have finished competing will either exit the competition floor IMMEDIATELY, or will be directed to the medal distribution area.
- After competitor receives medal and/or prize, they must be as brief as possible with the photo opportunity in order to keep the event moving in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Absolutely no manipulating or moving the barricades in any way.
3. When watching medals being awarded, spectators may take pictures but may not cross the barricades at any time.
4. There will be a ZERO TOLERANCE for profanity, gestures, cursing, poor sportsmanship, and/or any other disrespectful, hostile and
inappropriate acts or jumping/leaning over barricades.
5. Spectators are to cooperate with all tournament personnel, security personnel, and Riverside Convention Center personnel.
6. Failure to cooperate in a peaceful manner will result in ejection from the venue.
Academies another page:?
1. Schools must distinguish if they are competing as an independent school, or affiliate school on the TEAM LIST. If a school decides to be recognized as an affiliate school, they must provide the name of their academy AND the team they are affiliated with.
Example for Affiliate School: John Doe Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy / Team Jane Doe
Example for Independent School: John Doe Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy
2. Schools may not represent themselves any different than what is stated on the Team List paperwork. If school signs up as an independent school, they may not change their representation to an affiliate school on the day of the event(s) and vice versa.
